My Daughter Refused to Invite Me to Her Wedding… My Heart Is Broken 💔
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this.
My daughter is getting married in just a few months, and I was so excited to help her plan the biggest day of her life. I always dreamed of sitting in the front row, watching her walk down the aisle with tears of joy in my eyes.
But yesterday, she sat me down and said something that completely shattered my heart.
She told me she wanted a small wedding and that I wasn't invited.
When I asked why, she looked at me and said...
"Mom, I love you, but I think you'll embarrass me in front of my friends and my fiancé's family."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
I've spent my entire life loving her, supporting her, working extra hours to give her everything I could, and standing by her through every difficult moment.
Now, the one day I've been looking forward to for years... I'm being asked to stay home.
Some of my relatives think I should respect her wishes because it's her wedding.
Others believe no child should ever exclude a loving parent from such an important day.
I'm devastated and honestly don't know if I'm overreacting or if my feelings are justified.
💬 What would you do if you were in my position?
❤️ Respect her decision.
😢 Tell her how deeply she hurt you.
😡 Refuse to attend anything related to the wedding.
🤝 Try to repair the relationship before the big day.
Please be honest—but kind. I'd really like to know what you think.
